Our Background
Founded in 1993 by Paul Harrop and Robin Hargrave, who lent their names to the business, Harrop & Hargrave Ltd is Waiheke’s longest established accounting practice, providing professional accounting, and business and tax services.
In 2011, highly experienced Chartered Accountants David Johnson and Georgie Webber joined forces with Harrop & Hargrave, bringing a fresh and dynamic approach while retaining the local expertise and knowledge of the existing staff.
With a broad portfolio of accounting experience and skills, our team assist and guide clients through all aspects of accounting and business services from buying and selling businesses to bank loan applications, property, MYOB, XERO and general business advisory services.
In 2016 Kevin Walker joined our team as a partner bringing a wealth of experience from running his own practice previously.
The latest addition to our team is Leigh Peterken who lives on Waiheke Island and is highly invested in serving the community and our clients needs.
The business actively supports a number of community events, including the Fullers Wharf2Wharf and Onetangi Beach Races.

Maia Sharp
From a small accounting practice to the firm’s HQ in Auckland, Maia is experienced with a range of accounting and payroll softwares, Xero & MYOB accredited.
Georgie Webber
A Bachelor of Business and Chartered Accountant, Georgie has 16 years accounting experience and has depth and breadth of knowledge in working with smaller businesses whether on a tax issue, MYOB, Xero or business advisory services.
Kevin Walker
A Chartered Accountant who has successfully run many accounting practices in his time. Kevin has a lot of experience in all areas of accounting and taxation.
Leigh Peterken
Qualified accountant with experience in commercial and public practice accounting. Leigh is actively involved in the Waiheke community.
Linda Muff
Linda has been with H&H for many happy years and is a familiar face in the office. Skilled in all aspects of accounting, you can expect a few laughs along the way too.
Martha Galbraith
Since July ’21, Martha has been allocating, processing & filing our clients’ GST needs, tax returns & financial statements for year end. Beware, she’s never shy of adding a free emoji here & there, hoping to add a smile to your day!
Sue Irvine
Sue has been the receptionist for Harrop & Hargrave for some 18 years having moved to the Island 22 years ago. Sue enjoys the varied role as receptionist and “working with our great team”.
